Hardest Trick To Learn As A Kid!

I was unable to backside lipslide for the longest time when beginning skateboarding. I learned how to skate switch and how to skate tranny before I was ever able to consistantly back lip. Clearly I understood board control and the basics of skateboarding, but my approach for this trick was completely wrong from the start. When you're in a situation like this the best thing to do is move backwards a few steps and take the time to understand what movements are required to learn a trick. Even today my back lip isn't as consistent as many other tricks and it's probably because I'm missing a basic element of the trick. Have you guys ever experienced a trick block like this and what did you do to overcome?

2. Anon Anonymous: Try to do some sort of late back 180 just after you jumped over the rail because jumping over the rail and staying on top of it is an obvious prerequisite. Don't turn your shoulders much, but commit into jumping over the rail and turning your hips at 90 degrees. I hope it helps you out, good luck, go fast and commit.

17. Lapis Eye: the best thing for hardflips really is just trying to jump higher, thats one of the biggest issues i see people have when learning em. make sure you bring your back foot up too as far as you can and as soon as the grip shows catch that bitch and ride off into the sunset.

21. ryanwilsonbackup: Glawen the Goy it's all in the back foot. I've been able to 3 flip for 6 years or so and it's all about having a strong pop and scoop. the front foot sort just taps the board and moves out of the way. Paul Rodriguez did a really good trick tip recently

Stan The Man!: the key for learning any type of lip slide it you learn how to late 180 first, some people skate for years doing shitty f/s and b/s 180s that look terrible have little pop and turn right as they pop instead of popping then turning which leave you with little board control. but once you start getting your pop down and then the stylish late turns you end up with a better looking tricks that then end up making you unlock better skills like back lips.

Lapis Eye: hated this trick as a kid always ate so much shit trying them. gave up trying them for the longest time and one day it just clicked and i could do em. the magic of skateboarding i guess. growing up i didnt have alot of people to teach me certain tricks so everything was trial and error, and skate videos.

48. ABDStillLegit: Same thing happened with me when I was a kid. Bs lips were such a rare trick among my circle of friends. If you only think of the trick as bs 180ing onto the rail, then you'll have such a hard time. It's better to think of it as an ollie, then turn. That, plus a hundred tries, and you'll get the trick!
49. Gordo: I had the same problem but I know the secret for hardflips : pop the trick in the "treflip" area of the board, idk why but it's 100 times easier to do the rotation and also to commit when you do this
