OldSchool Review #7: 411VM 45 + Hospital Flips?

I love the 411VM series and we will definitely review a few more of these. I think I have maybe 10 more so let me know if you guys dig this. 411 was especially cool to me because there were new skateboarders and new names and tricks every time a new volume came out. What do you guys think of some of these custom trick names?

11. Duane Melhorn: The difference between a hospital flip and a casper flip is that a hospital flip only uses your front foot to kick the board back around and a casper flip uses both feet to flip the board back around as you would for a casper stall

15. Brian Musilek: love your vids ninja, been a fan since the start! However, when people do more basic tricks on insane features you seem to complain about it being basic. I believe that often the trick is harder or easier based on the feature. Just something I thought that you might wanna consider. But like i said, great work and keep going ninja!

17. Blue Division: I started on issue 44 and loved 411 until it's end at 67 haha. I used to rent the vhs tapes from my local shop.
18. David Dwayne: Hospital flip you only use your front foot to flip. Casper you use your back foot to push down on the tail to as well as you front to kick up to flip the board back around ( in my opinion). And no one is pretending its a difficult trick. Classifying a trick as stupid just because its different is very narrow minded thinking. Kind of an ironic mindset when you claim to love one of the most independent and diverse sports in the world. Should we just have Thrasher or Transworld consult you with whenever they want to film something so the skate world knows if its valid or not?

21. Armando Bradley: I don't think you are easily influenced. Tony Hawk was too lame to step down from being king so he convinced the judges to throw out Tas. It's someone who didn't want to admit that he wasn't the best anymore.
22. NinjaLifestyle: So... The skateboard does the exact same trick, but a slight extra (and unnecessary) touch on the tail from your foot MAKES IT A WHOLE NEW TRICK! WITH A NEW AND IMPROVED NAME!

38. J- Tuned: hospital and casper use a different foot for the 180 apparently. I had to look it up because they do look exactly the same. Ironically it was a Braille video that popped up in Google.

55. Simon Yates: Big fan of Lance Mountain and big fan of 411 since before it got into double figures. A video skateboarding magazine was a truly great idea.
56. elementmanga: well a hospital flip for me is what we see now a days a casper flip is catching the board like a casper in the air and then flipping it around actually using your back foot to catch it upside down, and a nightmare flip is just alvarial double kickflip so i suppose that one is to just be cool or reduce name size (which doesn't matter to me at all) but i personally think there is a clear difference in a hospital flip and casper flip, love the reviews keep it up.
57. Titanium Josh: I find it hilarious that 411 VM spelled Jani Laitiala's name "Yanni". He is still a phenomenal skater. You should review one of his parts if you get the chance. He was great in the Firm, the Blind Video, Digital Get Tricks or Die Trying, (That whole video was great), and anything else he appeared in. Thanks for the great review man. Your channel is awesome.

62. hybrid_wwbtr: The documentary was good, but unbeliveably biased. All I gathered from it was that both of the brothers were incredibly salty way too easily and Tas is just a bitter old man by now. It was really a document that showed two really talented skateboarders fuck themselves over. One interesting part was that Tas admidded in the beginning that he is going to lie "Theres my side, your side and the truth". Great skill and great style wasted imo.

66. BossOfBacon: Hospital flip is where you use your back foot to help scoop it around, casper flip is basically the same but you only use your front foot to bring it around.

SPOT is literally a skateboarders trip to Mecca... and Jessie Paez... I helped him pop his shoulder back in at tampa pro... I met Tim Brauch before he died and smoked out with him ... loved that shit it was great. aboiut Danny G.. one year I was at Tampa pro he kickflipped meloned off the vert wall over the 6 foot gap into the 4 foot quater for best trick.. year before he kickflipped melon OVER the snowboard rail onto other side.. Im actually In the 411 video getting plowed by jesse paez on the best trick section there when he was trying to to a blunt transfer over snowboard rail. 1999 i think or 2000 on of the 2.

Besides that I'm not insulting anyone for their opinion... maybe if you had an actual rebuttal and less insecure about acting like an adult we could actually have a respectable to debate about it... because I actually enjoy having those. But if you're going to act like a close minded neanderthal with the vocabulary the preteen no thanks.
