6. Haley Isaak: I agree with you, the skill gap between men and women pro skaters, in general, is pretty significant; not that it's impossible for women to do the tricks that guys can do, it's just not as common to see them doing the same difficultly of tricks

Tyrein: I used to think women couldn't skate well because of their build but after playing a couple video games competitively the women there are equally shit to women skaters and holding a controller or keyboard and mouse has nothing to do with build. It seems like sports/games primarily enjoyed by guys put the few women on a pedestal for just being a girl, which means they don't have to get as good at what they do to be recognized.

That does not mean they shouldn't play or have sponsors, women can have just as much of an opportunity to play sports and skate as men do. His channel has over 1 million subscribers, most likely younger, impressionable kids. You put his name on a board, and I'd bet a bunch of those people will buy the product. It's a good move on a marketing stamdpoint. Also, it's not your money so why are you mad. I don't personally ride them but who cares

Women don't share the same live hard die fast attitude as men. 2. Women don't have a high enough testosterone level. You want proof? How many women get as pumped up as guys do watching badass fighting movies (or real fights). Virtually none... They just don't understand. Shit like that is fucking fuel for men. Men bottle up their emotions until they fucking explode into this energetic state. Bryan Rhode: My wife skates (I also skated with a few skater girls who were pretty good) and I realized along time ago that men are more physically capable to women in this aspect as men are built to ignore their basic instincts. It's not sexist, it's hormones like testosterone, anatomy, and physiology. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying women can't do amazing things on a skateboard or in any sport for that matter (for the women's standard and on their own level) but as far as extreme sports we are genetically more capable in addition to inherent risk taking behavior in combination with the testosterone that drives adrenaline junkies like us and that's just stating a fact of nature.

49. C. W.: There are many factors involved in the large skill gap between the sexes in skateboarding. Some physical, some social and then it comes down to the individual mind set. For thousands of years, men have built a culture of manhood that celebrates aggression, pain, blood and spit. And then you have some women who enjoy this culture and take it on for themselves. Often they are less able to it to the extremes that men do, BUT ISN'T COOL AS HELL THAT THEY TRY? IN SPITE OF CRITICISM? Womens skating is sick because it's fun to watch anyone follow their passion with all the fiber of their beings. What you have between your legs should't matter. If you don't think it's a fun thing to watch, you can still appreciate that it exists. If you are comparing them to the amazing little ripper at the skatepark, or Reynolds, or Shane O'Neille, you're missing the point. Girls - don't play into the bullshit. Guys - don't play into the bullshit.

They appeal to a market which regular male professional skaters can't supply to. It originates partly from how gnarly skateboarding has gotten in the last few years. People want something different! Lurknyc is another perfect example of this, although it isn't as technically good, it's style alone is enough to generate sales to a different sub-group. As well as that, female skateboarding is on the rise and people want to generate the supply in content to meet the rise in demand.

That means girls should be better at tech/mannys/flatground and guys should be better at popping higher/skating gnarlier shit. However, that is not the case. The skate industry has never seen a good female skater, so they will sponsor any mediocre one hoping they will make their company more relevant.
