Ninja Review #21: NO FEET ON THE GROUND!

  1. Lapis Eye: First video was dope, guys having fun but still showed off the skills. Second guy, quit doing all those feet off the board tricks they look stupid and if I wanna see someone fall over and over I'll go to a skatepark and watch videos try to skate a bowl for the first time.
  2. Kangsteri: :D True. There is no rules, but there are guidelines for skateboarding cause it has existed so long. All these feet on the ground, slow speed, flipping like hell with luck kids think they are inventing skateboarding again. But in the past people didnt publish those moves cause they knew how gay it looks. But times are differend, kids nowdays think its normal to be gay.
  3. charozoid: Ah ok RIP merci lol
  4. Arthur Dhonneur: For me , I think he isn't a "no - complyer" even tho he is doing 1 foot tricks he is doing the properly on gaps stairs . And he isn't doing a really easy thing , he's doing no comply tre flip . So yes it's cool , but it's in my opinion to repetitive . ( a French follower )
  5. Soren Larsen: I thought this was going to be april fools and the really bad video was going to be "really good"
  6. Polo Maine: IF YOUR FEET COME OFF THE BOARD AND TOUCHES THE GROUND I DON'T GIVE A FUCK IF YOUR STANDING ON ONE FOOT THAT SHIT DON'T COUNT FUCK OUTTA HERE WITH THAT POSER SHIT
  7. TRILLIN FLOSSIN: NinjaLifestyle = Only good Skate Vlog on youtube
  8. shea austin: I mean there are no complys that actually require skill but its not like completely step of the board stomp the tail an hope for the best
  9. kurtisbray: SubTerra Artifex hey thanks man!!👊🏻👊🏻
  10. Shawn Kotris: I'm sure I'm not the first to bring this up, won't be the last, and I hate to be "that guy", but technically dude is skating. He's skating for.......wait for it.......try not to cringe.......fun...... But I get where Ninja is coming from. Please link to me any pro spots where the pro, in their video spot is doing a bunch of no comply's. I could be wrong. They were cool in the professional world maybe back in the 80's when they first came out, but pros pretty much have moved on from that trick. You aren't gonna see a Shane O'Neil, Chris Cole, Luan Olivera, P Rod, M Taylor, Koston, etc. etc. etc. doing weird no comply's. And honestly I feel like people at this point, (what Ninja Review number 21?!?) that Ninja is going to roast these guys. So why constantly send him footage of you no complying and then expect him to suddenly change his opinion? But at the end of the day I give dude props for having fun on a board any way he wants. I'm just a 32 yr old single parent watching videos trying to reminisce about my high school days, and it's cool seeing people skate however the want. At least they are more motivated than I am.
  11. kcskateee seahawk: you gotta skate the right way aint no short cuts we all bust our ass to land a trick
  12. Giovani.Lopez815: I think the same way when I see a trick like that on flat or down something,It's a weird trick and is not really skating if your both feet are not on the board
  13. SharkieJeannie: I like all of your vids
  14. Free Tacos: i think tricks like those are used to fool others that don't skate (or are very new to it). they may look cool to the casual observer, but in reality they don't require a lot of skill.
  15. rroollfallen: I understand but Luan has done them in lines too. Ive seen them on videos before and yes Brian Peacock did it to nose manual nollie tre out messing around but its actually not easy. You are not doing a sproing because yours is flipping the other way but I understand you are not a fan of no complies. I respect your opinion and reviews
  16. João Pedro: about the second video, if that guy just selected the tricks without touching the ground and shit, even being 30sec would be a better video in my opinion. =P
  17. Weaver Beats: I think you need to be more critical of people only skating park. Park videos are automatically not as raw and real as street videos by default. A 10/10 park video should still only be like a 7/10 overall.
  18. Jon Wilson: hey hey, skating is art and if you dont land its still skating and art, its just super fucking easy lame art
  19. Davey 'Dave' Daverson: Did you see in the first vid they redid a trick just to get a different angle.
  20. kurtisbray: Preston Hammonds that's what it's all about brah!
  21. tyler lopez: watch william spencer
  22. Wooblidoo: The no comply flips are mostly lame but the tre flip underflip varations and some of them actually start to take some skill. The problem is that they look extremely similar and have a large gap in skill so there really isn't a point in doing them. I think if you are going to learn a no comply then learn it without a flip and add some sort of 180 or 360 body spin.
  23. kurtisbray: Thanks for reviewing my video homie🙌🏻 nice no comply trick at the end
  24. Just Presto: all I'm saying is go out and have fun skating , get high drink beer and hang with your buds .
  25. John Bruce: Who needs the basics🚯
  26. Mike Martin: The no comply tricks where you take your front foot off then lift your back foot and stomp the tail eat shit. It should be one motion as soon as your front foot leaves. It's about style people.
  27. FNRustBucket: you are a normal person
  28. Green_Touko123: 9:01 xD lmao so fun
  29. Just Presto: Jakob Fuglsang true
  30. Jackson MillarTv: Exo shop is canadian
  31. Jade McMahon: If somebody does a no comply down a fat stairset thats part worthy
  32. al: Kangsteri truth
  33. Connor Smith: Zew Kee Why?
  34. Chrisboyred 7.: Dark and black 😂😂😂😂😂
  35. Lmao ur booty: Although he doesn't like that style of skating, Richie is really good so he'd probably like the part. Richie also fuckin funny
  36. Isaiah Smith: hey its ur opinion i like no complys but not as a normal trick more like a way to turn around when accually learning real tricks but its not hard what so ever to do any no comply but in some cases it can be gnarly depending on how u use it like for grids
  37. Jackt112: yeah but are you sponsored by hateboards tho
  38. Bobby Russell: cristian campos bruh, how good is it.
  39. 53 Studio: Ok, so why does no one fyss at David G. for doing the tre flip run things ? ( I think its cause he did it into a bowl)
  40. Jacob Adans: Get laid you fat lifeless piece of shit
  41. mrburns805: Ninja should make an unsub shirt with a sandwich going in the trash. I'd buy it
  42. Oreom: My thoughts: some of these tricks looked retarded but some were good, he clearly knew what he wanted to do and did it.
  43. Juan Sanchez: 😂
  44. Nicholas Langdon: lol berrics has stephen lawyer doing those type of tricks
  45. Scooter chad: Fuck skateing
  46. Avenged: Not all people with those names are foreign lol
  47. Zew Kee: im sick of seeing that hipster no comply fs 180
  48. Jim Fandango: No complies aren't as impressive as the original trick but they're still tricks. Then again, I also like freestyle skating and that makes me a gigantic faggot to people that don't care about skating outside of the Berric's bubble.
  49. Kai Kruikemeijer: The first video is from Quebec, Canada...
  50. david kolb: review Aron kyro!!!!
  51. DinosaurNinja93: In the middle of a line, especially at the end of a manny, I like the trick. But the trick itself, is no skill. I can barely kickflip, and I do those for fun, so I can pretend I'm good.
  52. kurtisbray: R26HMATZORILEY nice one fella I'll sub back
  53. Mclovinthedank: Ninja you the man. I hit the like button now leaving comment before i watch.
  54. kurtisbray: rroollfallen agreed
  55. Thijs van Gisbergen: 5:14 Ninja, thanks for saying this, I totally agree with you. I don't do that many tricks, but when I do a heelflip I know where it's gonna be, and I'm catching it man ;) I think I'm just gonna send in a very short movie to you, been watching your reviews, really give me a sense of what my part should be looking like. I agree on what you are saying, I however disagree on the way you are saying it. But I guess that is how you represent yourself. I find it hilarious btw! good channel.
  56. SwornToTheBag: What about Sam Tabor the no comply mega legend? he should be pro!
  57. will_scott__: i love steve but this is the funniest shit i've read all day, bravo
  58. Luke Maddox: Jacob Adams GO ON LAD
  59. Zbq _: they have Canadian french name's
  60. Danny Yoemans: you make me laugh my ass off
  61. rroollfallen: I think sproings are fun and actually take skill ( the Luan or David Gonzalez way) better than the TJ Rogers way ( shown in this video).
  62. Yohann S: Your examples were great! Thanks keeping up some standard of what's good and not giving everyone a trophy.
  63. DinosaurNinja93: Tell you what, I got a mean Ollie. But for some reason, I cannot do any other trick that involves the board flipping.
  64. Declan Nolan: It's technically skateboarding and I can see how people find it fun, but it's more of a party trick and not a actually trick
  65. al: Shawn Kotris I think steve is going hard on him cause its more on the view of sponsored skating hence the point he brings up that theres some stuff that just looks good. Style. Thats a huge part in getting sponsors. Well, maybe not in jeff dechesare's case. But you know what I'm getting at. Good skating is the type of skating where just riding your board can really speak volumes of your ability as a skater. Like the iconic Gino push. Or Sean young pushing down a hill bomb in fucktards. It's not about what you're doing, it's about how you're doing it. That being said, this guy was asking to get roasted by ninja cause its apparent that he hates no complys and it thoroughly made me laugh. Started dying when he called out the "feminine push". Good shit Steve.
  66. AskateR: Like if you liked the video just when ninja said it
  67. Suke: Your weird uncool names? Haha ninja isn't your name Steven
  68. liam cuthbert: i use to skate here alot, this is swansea england. went to uni there back in 2010-2013. got a good skate scene with some good skaters. dont know this kid though. maybe he wasn't around when i was there.
  69. kurtisbray: Trololololol
  70. Liam Matchett: Luan Olivera did a no comply tre to nose manny in a street league practice run look it up
  71. valamere101: gtfo scootfag.
  72. Keegan Wingrove: I feel so bad for you. There is never ads any more
  73. Mike Baum: You are a real skater, that slap the board down- flip shit- it gay
  74. kurtisbray: Shawn Kotris 🙌🏻
  75. kurtisbray: CHAPIE Jtm fort thanks dude
  76. Drpepperpanda 02: Nice mustache
  77. SolidTV: You should record a video of you trying no comply versions of every flip trick you know. It would be hilarious!
  78. Hunter Bible: youre totally right man. Austin 316
  79. Luca P: The lighting is good because of the natural light coming from the windows in the first part.
  80. skte2die: My buddy can do Water Throws switch.
  81. Enrique Hernandez: KurtisBray, more likeKurtisGay
  82. TASTESlikeCONTENT: U are the fucking skate icon for the fucking russian kid who sucks in the skateboarding , oh i would like to be criticized by you
  83. thegoldenwalrus: sorry ninja I just subbed...........
  84. Brett Friesen: you should watch chris milic. i would like to see your reaction to his parts.
  85. Shyben: kurtisbray k
  86. Mario Skates: Normal person ,and "wow so hard"😂
  87. Maxime Godin: charozoid ses fermer l'été :/ mais on a un plaza pas pire va voir sur mon channel quebec skate plazzza
  88. R26HMATZORILEY: Thanks Dude ^^
  89. Maxime Godin: Thanks for reviewing the exo skatepark #2 👊🏼
  90. David Dwayne: I don't mind that weird flippy trick. Mike Carrol did a badass one for the magic skateboard part on the yeah right video... but only in very small doses... not in every other clip.
  91. L SZ: What's up ninja!! Happy Saturday man !!
  92. _es_ bryan: You got the point ninja it's just for most people like you said it would be "hating" but we don't see people like Shane o neil or Cody Wit doing these tricks because they would like to do more technological tricks that are challenging even to experienced skaters while on the other side they want to do something new in their way
  93. Jod Life: nice shit
  94. SeanIsOG: Is your voice ok?
  95. will_scott__: lmfao!!!
  96. kurtisbray: Preston Hammonds hahahahahaha 😂😂
  97. theodore costello: Perfectly reasonable
  98. NinjaLifestyle: Thanks for submitting the video dude!
  99. sk8 phuck: dude review some snot job footage lol
  100. Andy Boswell: duane peters was probably the most bad ass skater of all time and did a ton of tricks that involved stepping off, along with any og pool/bowl skater.
  101. Vasectomy Fail: i fucking hate slo-mo. if anything it makes the trick look more boring. plus it's usually something ABD, wooooow a double backside flip, i'm so glad it slowly played on the screen for 6 seconds so i could take in every bit of majesty it bestowed upon me.
  102. NinjaLifestyle: I agree if these were sponsor tapes. These are just people uploading casual videos to YT.
  103. Noah’s Life: I say no complies are annoying once you learn more variations of them than regular tricks. I feel like they're tricks you learn when you're too lazy to actually progress. Speaking for myself btw, i learned so many fucking no comply hardflip variations, i piss myself off
  104. jacob rainville: the first video is Canadian, ,names are French cuz They are from Montreal
  105. joe cross: ninja calls kids retarded when hes like 30 years old and isnt that much better then them xD
  106. Dominic Gallagher: Those kill yourself complys in the second video were terrible, but the first video showed a lot more skill
  107. R26HMATZORILEY: It was nice to see a Video from a fellow British Skateboarder I happen to Love the style Kurtis has I think it's creative & different & in Skateboarding as long as You have fun that's all that matters fuck the haters
  108. Leon lewis: react to Richie Jackson death skateboards part
  109. Philippe Philips: I like how the only two videos that youve seemed to like were the exo one and dsc crew which are both from quebec ahha
  110. Phill, the human.: 2nd guy reminds me of Andy Shrock haha
  111. El Chiwang: Austin 3:16
  112. B C: If you do a no comply random flip it makes you look like you're shit. It's like learning body varials with every trick so you can act like now you have double the tricks. So when you play your buddies in skate and they miss the tricks you think you're good but in reality no one bothers to do shit like that because it's for pussies who can't ACTUALLY progress skating NORMALLY.
  113. Zach Coleman: God dude I feel like you're reading my fucking mind
  114. MOZA: They are french
  115. Kristian Fedje: ninja, i love you man but you cant say that its not *real skateboarding*..... there are many different styles of skating and sometimes its cool to mix it up! but i agree with you, it got boring cus he did the same tricks like 20 times :p love the vids btw !
  116. Erik Johnson: "you don't have to 'land on the board' for it to be skateboarding" - ninja
  117. TRZN: Doing weird tricks like that can be fun and cool to see sometimes, but if you're trying to make an impressing video/ find an impressing video, that isn't what you want at all. It doesn't take any skill at all really. It's pretty much something to do randomly if you're just fucking around.
  118. Noah’s Life: 😂😂 that end rant was fucking hilarious
  119. Egg Head: FalconPunxh - ninja already did in the video! Are you serious?
  120. kurtisbray: Chad Salazar 😘
  121. Arthur Gravenor: Omg swansea
  122. Phloppy Monster: Rodney Mullen did that shit back in the day and everyone thought it was baller.
  123. Xav Kaibetoney: I totally agree withyou ninja- i like to do those foot plant tricks when I play skate with my bro who isn't very good at skateboarding. very fun, but takes no skill WHATSOEVER.
  124. ED LUX: This Channel Feels Like It's Dying - Big Fan By The Way, I've Been Watching This Channel Since I Was In 8th Grade ! Well Wish You The Best Of Luck
  125. Matt S: First
  126. Michael Cigana: Ninja, in the first video the skaters are French Canadians... French isn't that exotic...
  127. Xavier Knoll: 4:41 i dont think you can really call that skateboarding
  128. wyleFTW: When are you coming out with new decks?
  129. Zbq _: Jacob Adams I'm dead cause the fact he has more of a life than u do
  130. cristian campos: review miles silvas push part
  131. C. W.: Fundamentals of skateboarding were created by humans based on the subjectivity of an action. There can never be a finite list of what the fundamentals are. They are perceived by the people who believe in them and no two people have the same perspective. If a trend of thought carries from one generation of skaters to another, and is widely agreed upon, such as varial kickflips and mongo pushing is for kooks, then it is a fundamental. As animals living and dying, there can be nothing wrong with mongo pushing, but if you do it, your communication with skateboarding culture will be limited. We will probably point and laugh at you. Why? There's no good reason. Is this the dumbest comment yet?
  132. TrandsomeTrav: Three words: Mike fucking Vallely
  133. charozoid: Ah ok c'est plate ca quelle date que ca ferme? Pis ouais jvais aller voir la plaza merci.
  134. nARLES theman: AMERICA!
  135. Monico Inkpen: Skatings evolving and sometimes it's cool to see something new
  136. S L: Please do more reviews!
  137. Gregory Gilchrist: no comply tricks where you step off and make the board randomly flip and land on the board are stupid no comply fs 180 is harder
  138. NinjaLifestyle: When Luan no comply 360 flip into a nosemanual and nollie flip out while STILL MESSING AROUND? That doesn't say much for the difficulty of the trick. Nor does me landing one switch my first few attempts ever trying it.
  139. kurtisbray: Enrique Hernandez you really think you're in a position to make fun of names? Hahahah
  140. will_scott__: cus its fake and gay
  141. Owen Trask: That's the Exo Shop park eh
  142. Raphaël Côté: Thnx for reviewing ninja😎 Quebec represent🙌
  143. Stefano Addis: It's not like any of those no comply tricks were even done well, and that double step off thing he did 82938392 times is exactly what you say, not skilled or even a trick
  144. Swoops: Na-il Glover how long has he been skating
  145. SJK: Gotta say, those feet on the ground tricks don't look too easy and he has them on lock. He always landed on the board so that was an exaggeration. I agree about not landing super well but if he cleaned the landings up I'd love to see how his style evolves as he gains skill.
  146. Otniel Manary: This was the best review ever the rant at the end was so funny hahah
  147. kurtisbray: Phill's Films 🙌🏻
  148. _es_ bryan: You got the point ninja it's just for most people like you said it would be "hating" but we don't see people like Shane o neil or Cody Wit doing these tricks because they would like to do more technological tricks that are challenging even to experienced skaters while on the other side they want to do something new in their way
  149. Bobby Russell: cristian campos that switch heel front board he broke his wrist on the raw footy was insane.
  150. rights_vs_wrong: I will be the first to say that I don't personally enjoy no complies, however, this topic brings up the fact that skateboarding is changing. Like everything else that involves people and change, some will like the change and some won't. When they started letting women vote, or started to allow people to smoke weed, or Metallica sold out, or any other change to any other community you can look at some people said "hey that's great" and some people said "hey that's shit" and then people start fracturing into their different groups and cliques. I realize this is a generalization but the point is that we have to expect that skateboarding will change, it has always been changing, and we can either change with it or become something other than "skateboarders".
  151. White Rabbit: It's not real skateboarding? Are you mentally ill? You don't even understand the word real, don't use it. You don't like this TYPE of skateboarding. Doesn't make it something other than skating. You fool
  152. Mario Skates: "I'm a sidekick"😂😂😂😂
  153. Egg Head: L a straight normal no comply is totally fine
  154. Vmob tv: I agree with ninja
  155. R26HMATZORILEY: kurtisbray I'm gonna sub to You fellow British Skateboarder ^^
  156. Na-il: you're a normal skater who's skated for a long time you're an og teach these kids what real skating is
  157. Shyben: civil nah nah, only people from Quebec have that shit, if you come to the west coast any French is a meth head and is in a RV, anyway everyone hates fucking French people in Canada anyways cause they're assholes
  158. hampstershat123: Lol shut up kid he isn't fat. At least come up with accurate trash talk. Was that you in the second video? hahaha - nope that wasn't you you're a 13 year old skinny faggot
  159. RickySanchez77: That last video did more tricks on his feet than me when I started pushing for the first time on my Skateboard, If I send a video to Ninja I would want a honest truth no matter how bad it was, good review Ninja
  160. Maxime Godin: charozoid sa vien de fermer il y a une semaine
  161. Connor Smith: BurningChipotleCornhole Ur definitely 12
  162. L: Gay-complys are completely fuck around tricks, never should be put in a skate part.
  163. peanut1110: C'est des francophones fdp
  164. Enrique Hernandez: "Ninja Name Reviews"
  165. Dylan Will: Michael's Madness most channels are dying, YouTube is dying itself.
  166. ToledoSoldier: Lmao I liked the delay at the end
  167. Влад Док: google david gonzalez no comply tre flip, you will be surprised
  168. Jonathan Udall: It's not unreasonable to have that idea of skating. Mainstream skating looks clean and more appealing to the eye where freestyle (circus tricks) tend to be sloppy. I love freestyle but I usually do it when I'm just fucking around and not to motivated to skate sometimes I'll play skate with a friend like that to just change things up. Though when I'm actually trying to hit a spot I do more structured tricks because it's more appealing to me in my eye then doing a freestyle trick on it.
  169. Jakob Fuglsang: i mean... you can skate in anyway you want to skateboard, but if you do those kind of tricks, you garenti yourself not getting sponsored or even reconized
  170. Luke Maddox: James Braddy you try those tricks then son.
  171. Lucas LaBute: haha kooks like this kid thinking they dictate what skating is
  172. Aaron Ferguson: you are right... but doing just a straight no comply high or No comply flip off a parking block its pretty nuanced and skilled. Personally I've been humbled and inspired all the niches. I hear you though fools are just straight pressure flipping into oblivion and stepping back on calling it art. Not clean.. The real art is the simple shit done dumb high and controlled
  173. Raven Black: I mean, I see it both ways. you can tell when someone has control on a no-comply variation. he looked like only some were controlled. when they are controlled, they look amazing. take Chris Haslam for example. when he does his (the ones in video parts), you know that he meant to have it flip exactly how it did.
  174. Weaver Beats: NinjaLifestyle ah I see I never put that together that you score these differently than sponsor tapes.
  175. Ange1: first like
  176. Xciteboy98: Ninja looks like a eminem fan from 2002 who creates nazi propaganda
  177. kurtisbray: R26HMATZORILEY 🙌🏻
